Barcelona, ​​1975. Architect dedicated to reflection and debate on urban challenges such as public space, affordable housing, fair and sustainable mobility or the right to the city.


He is part of the interdisciplinary team responsible for the ATRI strategy , which provides cities with tactical housing systems against gentrification.

He has worked at the Barcelona City Council in the development of a transversal strategy against gentrification.

 

He has been curator of the cycle « Goodbye to the car! | How to free Barcelona from the private vehicle? », Scheduled at the Sala Beckett in 2018.

 

Since 2003, he has collaborated with the Barcelona Center for Contemporary Culture (CCCB) in the development of the European Prize for Urban Public Space , of which he is editor and secretary of the Jury.

 

He has directed the documentary «Europa ciudad » (2012) for Spanish public television (RTVE), on the validity of the European city model and has been curator of the exhibition « Piso Piloto » (2015), an exhibition on the right to housing presented simultaneously at the CCCB and the Museo de Antioquia in Medellín (Colombia).

 

He has taught, among others, at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC) , at the Sert School of the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) , in the Master's Degree in City and Urban Planning at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) , at the ELISAVA School of Design and in the Master of Architecture and Urban Culture Metrópolis.

 

He regularly gives lectures and writes articles for various newspapers and magazines. In some of these texts, he proposes that city debates be opened in Barcelona on projects such as covering the Rondas with housing or converting the Montjuïc fairgrounds into an open, diverse neighborhood with thousands of public housing .
